Welcome to the Las Lomas K9 Rescue and Adoption Foundation website.  Our goal is to provide medical treatment and find safe and loving homes for our rescued animals.

If you are looking for a K9 companion, we can help.  We have a wide variety of mixed breeds, and occasionally have some pure breeds.  If we don’t have what you’re looking for, send us an email, and we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for you.

The Las Lomas K9 Rescue & Adoption Foundation has received 501©(3) tax exempt status from the IRS and all donations are tax deductible.  Our shelter is in great need of your support!  We get no public funding and have to rely on individuals like you to help us out!  Please be as generous as you can so we can continue to save the animals!  Donations are used strictly for the medical care and treatment of the animals and with the rising costs of vet care, and dog food, we need your help so that we can continue to provide quality care for the dogs!  We appreciate all the help we can get in order to give these animals a future they deserve!  We accept cash or check and you can also donate online by credit card using and the email address  Thank you for your support!

KIMMY - Our Featured Dog

KIMMY - Golden Retriever/Lab Mix Female

Estimated Birthday:  27 June 2010

Kimmy was dumped at a Shell station off the highway.  She had been hanging around for awhile, traveling back and forth across the street to the Whataburger.  Apparently someone was feeding her.  When it became clear she was pregnant, and unwanted, a friend was able to catch her.  She had 7 healthy puppies 2 days later.  Kimmy is a sweet dog doing really well.  She is a great Mom and has no problems with us touching her puppies.  Now that the puppies are 5 weeks old, they have been weaned and are doing really well.  Kimmy will be spayed soon and is ready for a new loving furever home.

We would like to say a tremendously big THANK YOU to Pepsi, Global Giving, and all of our supporters for helping us get a much needed roof for our shelter!  Thank you to Matt Miller for building the roof and to Tommy Shank for coming out on weekends to help us get this done!  This roof has provided reliable shade, relief from the hot sun, the rain, and the wind and has made these dogs so much more comfortable!  We are truly blessed to have such awesome supporters!!

God & Dog

In memorium
Charles Richard Cooper
9/16/1956 - 4/16/2014

On April 16, 2014 at 9:23 CST Charles, affectionately known to many as Chuck or CC, passed away peacefully after his long fight with cancer.
Chuck decided to be cremated so there will be no funeral services per se. Instead of mourning his loss, true to his nature he wanted his life to be celebrated.
With that directive in mind we will be organizing two "celebration of life" events in his honor in two of the towns that meant a lot to him.
The first is tentatively scheduled for May 10 and will be held at the Wimberly Valley Wine tasting room in Old Town Spring.
The second will be held in Floresville at my sisters home, where he spent so much time the last few years of his life. Date for second will be shortly after first and will be announced by next week.
I will be posting details for both on this and my Facebook page.

Rest in peace my love!
Suzanne Michelle Leinart-Cooper

Remembering Chuck Charles Cooper. We are appreciative for the donations received in his memory.

Each and every person can make a difference in the life of an animal.  Adopt a K9 friend for life!
